Final Gun Control
I really enjoyed this topic. I learned alot of things throughout this project that i didn't allready know. I allready knew alot about gun cotnrol in our country but i learned alot about other countries. I learned that alot of countries are coming back to not having gun control because of there crime rate has gone up. If i was to change anything i might have chose a diffrent book to read because i got alittle bored in the book. I also might have came up with alot more questions to ask.
I read the book Guns, Crime, and Freedom by Wayne Lapierre. One thing that really hurt me was my lazy nes on not reading the book early enough. I also interviewed Mr. Baily at Jefferson State COmunity College. he was a very interesting man he had so much info and i could have asked him so many more questions that i really did nto ask him.

Gun Control - 2nd Video
During the interview I thought it was really cool how much info Mr. Baily had. He really helped me enforce my decision on how we didn't need gun control in this country. He talked about how other countries were starting to go back to letting their people have guns because with the homicide rates going up. I also thought when he talked about the jails it was sort of weird how they never really made now ones they just added on to them. In my opinion this is why we don't need gun control.
I really got a lot out of this. I have been reinstated on why i really don't like having gun control. Mr. Baily really knew what he was talking about and has made me really think we do not need to have gun controlled because of how much they really help us out. They help defend us when we need to be defended and it helps us feel comfortable when we would be in a really uncomfortable position other wise. This is what i have gotten out of my interview.

Guns, Crime, and Freedom

The book "Guns, Crime, and Freedom by Wayne Lapierre talks about why we do not need any gun control. For the most parts of this book it told us all about why we needed guns. One example they gave was "" (Lapierre 29). It gives a really good reason to why we really need to have guns in our lives. It could have saved the girls parents and a lot of others that day. The peoples that lives could have been changed really had a good point to why we need to be able to have guns.
This was one very good book. It reinforced my opinion as to why we do not need gun control. It showed that having a gun can protect you an everyone around you. They do have some laws like waiting periods, which is a great law in my opinion and you can get a good back ground check before they get he gun. I think that if you create a crime with a gun by either killing or threatening someone you should be put into prison. If you kill a person I think you should be put to death row.
Guns to me equal freedom. I think everyone with a clean record should b able to have a gun for them selves if they area above the age of 21. I think at this level you have become a little bit more responsible and can take actions for your self. I think the laws are fine for now but if the increase on guns keeps going up they might need to do some cut backs. This book has really gotten me to look at guns a whole different way and get alot better understanding. i think we do not need gun control.

Gun control higher gun rate

In this video it shows how guns can decrease the violence. It can stop people from attacking you. As said by John Stossel in this video " He was being followed by 20 guys and they said the were going to kill him and they were never going to find the body and just by pulling out the gun they ran" (Stossel 1:35). it shows how just by pulling out the gun it saved his life. If he didn't have his gun that day he might not be alive right now.
This video shows a great example of how a gun can save someone's life. it shows how Stossel is saved by just having a gun on him. He didn't fire a single bullet or kill a single person but that gun did save his life. I think that is why you really don't need a gun control law that you can't carry a pistol. It may eventually save your life one day.

Congress

Congress has tried to debate about the control of guns also. They say gun laws have dated back to 1934.Gun advocates argue " they curb access by criminals juveniles, and other " high-risk" individuals" ( Policy 1). Many get these guns off the street. this is where most of your crimes are caused. There is two main acts the Firearms Act and the Gun Control Act. These restricted strict requirements on guns and ammo and also it made it where you can not mail guns.
Even though I support there not being gun control I support the Gun Control Act where you cant send guns in the mail. Even though some law are ridiculous I think some are also good. I think the people are thinking to much about all this and are trying to act like it is a big deal when it really is not.

The Falacy and Motivation for Gun Control

in the article of Conswervapedia was a good article on Gun Control. Gun control causes an increase in crime. It is said that " Americans use fire arms to defend them selves from criminals at least 764,000 times a year" (Conservapedia 2). It is said that homicide rates go down whenever people have guns or can carry them. You are more likely to be mugged in London than you are in New York. Only because in London you can not carry weapons. many women fear to be attacked by someone. the guns help secure there well-being and helps protect them from anyone attacking them.
I think this is a great article. It shows the difference of people in other big countries that they have it worse off than we do because we can defend our selves with our guns. I can see that banding of fully auto weapons but with the other ones i think they should be allowed.
